Twenty Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time – Sept 19th 2021

  1. We pray that the Church may hold true to the teaching of Jesus, free from the worldly values of status and ambition. We pray.

  2. We pray that all in positions of power, authority and influence in our world may recognise their identity with the needs and longings of those they serve. We pray.

  3. We pray that all communities may look after one another, supporting the vulnerable, encouraging the timid, providing practical help for all who need it, and nurturing the young in a climate of trust. We pray.

  4. We pray that none may be considered expendable, or beyond our cherishing; we pray for all who have lost heart, through pain, suffering or sin, that God’s redeeming power may work its wonders in the very darkest situations. We pray.

  5. We pray that all who have wearily struggled to death may know the joy of burdens laid down, and new, lasting life transforming them through the eternal love of God. We pray.
