Anointing of the sick


For I was ill and you cared for me… (Matt 25:36)

 The Anointing of the Sick “is not a sacrament for those only who are at the point of death. Hence, as soon as anyone of the faithful begins to be in danger of death from sickness or old age, the fitting time for him to receive this sacrament has certainly already arrived.” == Catechism of the Catholic Church 1514

You could contact the Parish Priest if you have relatives / neighbours in need of the Sacrament. You could contact the Catholic Pastoral Care Unit if the patient is in hospital. Religious services and bedside visitation could be arranged. Please provide the following information for arrangement:
  • Patient’s name
  • Patient’s location (Hospital + Ward + Bed number)
  • Contact information
  • Type of services required (e.g. visitation, receipt of the Holy Eucharist, Anointing of the Sick … etc)
