Special Announcements

(Updated 3/4/2020) Parishioners please pay attention to newly issued notices on New arrangements for opening Churches to the Faithful(2020-3-28)and Pastoral Measures in connection with the COVID-19 Pandemic (2020-3-27) with guidelines on Holy Week.  The Diocese will arrange live webcast of the Holy Week and Easter Liturgy. Our Parish will offer special opening hours during the Holy Week for private worship but parishioners must follow the rules specified.

Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time (A) Feb 16, 2020

  1. Suspension of Sunday/Weekday Masses and Activities
    As the cases of coronavirus infection in Hong Kong is on the increase, the Sunday and weekday masses, as well as all other scheduled activities in the Parish are suspended until further notice. However, the Church will remain open for personal visitation, prayers and reflection. Follow up measures will be announced before February 28. Thank you!

Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time (A) Feb 9, 2020

  1. Cancellation of Activities
    As a precautionary measure to avoid the spread of the coronavirus, the Parish has cancelled all scheduled activities, except for the Holy Mass celebrations which will be held as usual. Group gatherings are to be avoided, so everyone must leave the church premises after the mass. However, the Church will be open for personal visitation, prayers and reflection until 6:00pm. All these measures are to be observed until further notice.

The Presentation of the Lord Feast Feb 2, 2020

  1. Sacrament of Reconciliation
    The Sacrament of Reconciliation is being held here in the Church every Saturday from 9:30am to 12:00pm and from 3:00pm to 4:45pm.

  2. Help Desk
    The Help Desk will be available next Sunday, February 9 at 10:00am to 12:00pm to assist any OFWs on BM Online Account registrations, OEC applications, as well as giving advice on employer-employee problems and work-related issues. You are welcome to approach them at their desk outside the Tea Room downstairs.

Third Sunday in Ordinary Time (A) Jan 26, 2020

  1. Mass for the Deceased
    There will be a mass for our deceased brothers and sisters who died in the month of January to be held here in the Church on Thursday, January 30 at 8:00pm. You are all welcome to attend. The mass will be in Chinese.

  2. Cancellation of Chinese Pun Choi Lunch
    In view of the increasing threat of the China coronavirus, the Parish has decided to cancel the Chinese New Year Pun Choi Lunch on February 2, 2020. Refund procedure will be announced soon.

  1. Second Collection
    There will be a second collection for St. Peter’s Pence. Please be generous.

  2. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
    There will be an Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 4:00pm in the Church. Everyone is encouraged to attend for prayers and personal reflection.

  3. Chinese New Year Masses
    There will be a Thanksgiving Mass on Chinese New Year Eve, January 24, 2020 at 9:00pm in the Church. The Chinese New Year Day Mass will be on January 25, 2020 at 9:00am in the Church. The masses will be in Chinese.

  4. Chinese New Year Pun Choi Lunch
    There will be a Chinese New Year Pun Choi Lunch on February 2, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Church car park. Tickets can be purchased at the parish office at HK$160 per person, same price for adults and children, and HK$50 for seniors aged 65 and above. Donations are welcome including supermarket coupons.

    A mass will be celebrated on the third day of Chinese New Year on January 27, 2020 at 12:00pm at the Immaculate Conception Chapel Big Wave Bay. Transportation is arranged at HK$80 per person and can be purchased at the parish office.

The Holy Family (A) Dec 29, 2019

  1. New Year Eve and New Year Day Mass Schedule
    The New Year Eve Mass will be celebrated in the Church at 10:00pm on Tuesday, December 31. On New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1, we will have one English mass to be celebrated in the Church at 11:30am.

  2. 2. New Year Countdown Party
    We will hold a small New Year Countdown Party at the Tea Room after the New Year Eve Mass on Tuesday, December 31. You are all welcome to join and we would also welcome food and drinks to share.

  3. English Weekday Mass
    Starting from January 2020, there will be an English Mass celebrated here in the Church at 4:00pm on every first Friday of the month. You are all welcome to attend.

Fourth Sunday of Advent (A) Dec 22, 2019

  1. Misa de Gallo or Christmas Novena Masses
    The 7th to 9th days of the Christmas Novena Masses or Misa de Gallo will be celebrated in the Church on Saturday, December 21 at 8:30pm, then on Sunday, December 22 at 6:30pm and on Monday, December 23 at 9:30pm. You are all welcome to attend.

  2. 2. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Mass Schedule
    The Christmas Eve Mass will be celebrated in the Church at 10:00pm on Tuesday, December 24. On Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, the mass schedule follows a regular Sunday schedule.

  3. Christmas Party
    There are still a few tickets left for the Christmas Party which will be held on Wednesday, December 25 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Valtorta College Hall. Tickets are at HK$40.00 each. Please inquire at the Tea Room to purchase your ticket.

  4. Mass for the faithful departed in the month of December
    Please note that the mass for the faithful departed in the month of December scheduled for December 26 is cancelled.

  5. English Weekday Mass
    Starting from January 2020, there will be an English Mass celebrated here in the Church at 4:00pm on every first Friday of the month. You are all welcome to attend.

Third Sunday of Advent (A) Dec 15, 2019

  1. Mission Sunday Musical Evangelical
    The Chinese Community will hold a Mission Sunday Musical Evangelical on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 2:30pm at the Carpark. The program will be in Chinese. Please note that the Carpark will not be available from 1:00pm on that day.

  2. 2. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
    There will be an Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 4:00pm in the Church. Everyone is encouraged to attend for prayers and personal reflection.

  3. Misa de Gallo or Christmas Novena Masses
    The Misa de Gallo or the 9-day Christmas Novena Masses will start on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 5:00pm in the Church. On December 16 to 23, 2019, weekday novena masses will be held at 9:30pm at the Church. The weekend masses have different timings. Please refer to the bulletin board for the Novena Mass schedule. The masses will be in English. There will also be a 9-day Christmas Novena Mass in Chinese on December 16 to December 24, 2019. Please also refer to the bulletin board for the mass schedule.

  4. Christmas Party
    Our Christmas Party will be held on December 25, 2019 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Valtorta College Hall. Tickets are now available for sale at HK$40.00 per ticket. You may approach the ministry coordinators to purchase your ticket.
