Special Announcements

With the coming of the “third wave” of the Covid-19 pandemic, Cardinal John TONG further announced on 27/7/2020 that the <<new pastoral measures>> introduced on Jul 14 are to remain in force until further notice. Our Parish has suspended Sunday and Weekday masses since July 15 and will continue to do so until further notice. The faithful are urged to take part in a Sunday mass online (e.g., through the <<diocesan website>>) and receive Holy Communion spiritually. The Church is open for prayer from 9:00 – 17:00pm.

Pentecost (A) May 31, 2020

  1. For a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the people of God all over the world, and in all worship traditions. For the readiness to be changed and made new; for a softening of the ground of our hearts to receive without fear.

  2. For all the peoples of the earth to know and honour God’s Holy name. For the healing of the nations and a new thirst for righteousness and purity at every level and in every aspect of society. For a dissatisfaction with the pursuit of pleasure and all that distracts us from our true calling.

  3. For the grace and power to live out our faith in the real and challenging world, among those we meet and eat with, whose lives we share, without compromising that calling to be the Body of Christ, living God’s integrity and purity, forgiveness and love.

  4. For those whose lives feel empty or cheated, or filled with pain, or worry or guilt. For all whose hopes and dreams are in tatters; all who are in any way imprisoned.

  5. For those who walk the dark journey of death and all who have come through it into God’s presence; for mourners distressed by regrets or angry with God at their loss.
